PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers swung a deal at the deadline to acquire Jared Butler from the Washington Wizards. At the time, he was on a two-way deal, but the Sixers converted him to a standard deal shortly after.

In 28 games with 17 starts in Philadelphia, Butler averaged 11.5 points along with 4.9 assists while shooting 42.6% from the floor and 35.2% from deep. He was able to pick up what coach Nick Nurse likes to run and did a good job of organizing everything on the offensive end of the floor.

When asked to assess his two months with the Sixers, Butler called it a "B-plus/A-minus" before elaborating on everything.

"It’s tough," he admitted. "Basketball is a rhythm game. Continuity is very important, but at the same time, you can't overthink it. Basketball is basketball with all the changes and kind of movement, it's been a lot to adjust, and even just moving to a different team has been a lot to adjust for me, but I feel like considering all the variables, I felt like I did what I needed to do, and just thankful for the opportunity, and I'm glad I've been here so it's been good."

Butler was able to show off an ability to knock down the 3-point shot at a very efficient clip. He shot 39.2% from deep in the month of March when he took over a majority of the minutes at the point guard spot after Tyrese Maxey went down and he was able to give the Sixers some good minutes.

As he now heads into the offseason, Butler laid out his plans for the summer and what he wants to work on.

"Honestly, just getting better at the same old things," he explained. "Shooting off the dribble, shooting catch and shoot, defense, just the same old kind of things. I think my body and building it back up is probably a point of emphasis, and that's only thing coming to mind right now."
