On Sunday night, Michigan State basketball took down New Mexico in the round of 32, punching their ticket into the Sweet 16. It was a hard fought, knock down drag out fight between the Spartans and Lobos on Sunday, but Michigan State ultimately prevailed.
The Michigan State win was impressive, despite not having their best game on Sunday. A big storyline from the win, was Jase Richardson's struggles against the Lobos. Richardson went 1-for-10 from the field, only scoring six points, but was massive in the final minutes, helping secure the win for MSU.
In the locker room, after the game, Richardson spoke to reporters about his off night, showing his grace towards his teammates picking him up and covering the slack.
