His Diamondback career lasted three games.

I would love to see them call up Jarrod Parker.

He could be an option but at this point they have been limiting his innings. I would rather see him finish off strong in Mobile and come into spring ready to go. Wade Miley after being given an aggressive promotion to Reno has done nothing but impress. Last night capped it off with a 3 hit, complete game night. Miley should be the call.

The problem I have with either rookie is the unknown in the middle of the race for the West. Micah has shown he can do it this year.

He has settled into a very valuable role as a reliever. As a starter this year he has had 2 good games and 2 bad ones. I'd rather keep him in the pen.

I agree. Micah has not been consistent as a starter (either time around), but lights-out as long relief this season. Let's not rob from Peter to pay Paul, as they say.

Some pitchers aren't cut out to pace themselves over seven innings.

Good point. As long as it is not Duke, I think we are all going to be happy. ;)

I wish Jason Marquis the human being all the best and hope he has a quick, painless, full recovery.

As for Jason Marquis the player it would seem that the Dbacks have lost nothing.

Not sure if he's done, but here's Trevor Bauer in Double-A Mobile so far tonight: 5 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 K. 71 pitches, 45 strikes.

Yes, yes he is. So, when did the leg get broken? Was it by the line drive, so he threw a pitch with a broken leg?

They think it was when he got hit by the pitch. That means he had an at bat and threw another 13 pitches on a broken leg.

Hey so since we're technically still paying Randy Johnson, any chance he comes back and pitches a few gems down the stretch? :p

His quote was that he thought it was a bruise.

It actually broke all the way while he was back on the mound, not when he was hit earlier.

How can a team really distinguish, regardless of the sport, the difference between playing with aches and pains (manning up) and the few serious injuries that it leads to? Every ache and pain weakens the area involved.

It's Miley. Lefty with excellent control. Great SO/BB ration. Keeps it in the zone, but doesn't have the stuff to always keep it in the park. He's interesting. Can't wait to see him.
