Jason McAddley Reviews 2 Fast 2 Furious
Starring: Paul Walker, Tyrese, Eva Mendes, Cole Hauser, James Remar, Thom Berry, Devon Aoki, Ludacris
Director: John Singleton
Studio Universal
RatingPG – 13
McAddley’s Summary
It picks up where the first movie left off with the main character Brian O'Conner, played by Paul Walker, not a cop anymore and just a street racer down in Miami. He gets arrested for street racing and the FBI forces him to help bust this drug lord for them or he will go to jail. He teams up with Roman Pearce, played by Tyrese. After serving his three years, Pearce is free and O’Conner needs his help. Although the two have a troubled past, they must work together to bring down the drug lord so O’Conner can avoid jail time and Pearce’s record will be expunged.
McAddley’s Take
This movie is action packed with upgraded driving, cars and technology since the first movie and definitely holds your attention throughout the movie. There was some unrealistic driving, but that’s what makes the movie so interesting, just don’t get any ideas when you are rushing to get to work. Ludacris added some comedy in the flick with his humor and it was one of Tyrese’s better acting jobs. The soundtrack featured a few of Ludacris’ new tunes and was a tight musical score. Not to give it away, but there are a couple of twists in the movie that keep your attention.
McAddley’s Rating: Field Goal
I would recommend this movie if you are in the mood to see a good action-packed flick.
