Looks like Jay-Z will be making history for hip-hop and Brooklyn. The streets were abuzz upon hearing yesterday that the current owners of the Nets NBA franchise have told Jay-Z's investor group, led by real estate developer Bruce Ratner, that they intend to sell the team to them for about $300 million. The team would be moved to a 7.7 million square foot arena in Brooklyn which would seat 19,000 for basketball among residential and commercial space. The deal is not yet final, but sources close to the negotiations say Jay's team is a shoe in.

So, if this happens, how long will it be before JK leaves the Nets? Didn't he say he wouldn't play in Brooklyn?
Where will he go?

He said he would not play in Rhode Island, which is weird since I thought the 2 were close together.

I'm sure he would be even more insistent on not playing in Montana.

I say instead of over seas expansion we just move the Nets. I think the Baghdad Nets sound catchy.

Just so long as the teams doesn't have to go there for road games.
