Jays manager Farrell out with pneumonia (AP)

Blue Jays manager John Farrell will not be in the dugout for Friday night's home game against Tampa Bay a day after he was diagnosed with pneumonia. He has been released from the hospital and could return to the team as early as Saturday. Farrell left Thursday's 9-6 loss to the Kansas City Royals in the bottom of the ninth inning.
