Just started watching this British show, Jekyll, through streaming netflix. It's a retelling/continuation of Jekyll and Hyde set in modern-day England.

I really like it. It has what I love about LOST and the first season of Heroes: an over-arching mystery as to WTF is going on.

No one else has seen this? I'm telling you, you should.

What a bunch of slackers. I've been telling you about this show for more than half a day!

I don't know what it is, sometimes I love this show, sometimes I hate it.

I'm down to the last two episodes of this show, and I think it ranks up there with one of my all-time favorites.

If you have netflix streaming, I highly recommend you go watch this as soon as possible. Otherwise, go order the discs. It's only 8 episodes or something like that, so it's a quick watch.

Man, I hope they order a second season. Or, maybe someone will recognize the brilliance on this side of the pond, buy it and americanize it (then we could see American actors butchering English accents instead of the other way around).

James Nesbitt is brilliant in his "dual" role.

Great scene:
Tom's mother: People think that Hyde is Rage. Or Hate. Or Greed. Or Lust. But Hyde is far worse.

Claire Jackman
: Then what is he?

Tom's mother: (thinks for a moment before continuing) What was the first day you knew you could kill someone, anyone at all, if you had to.

Claire Jackman
: The first time I held my children.

Tom's mother
: It's our oldest, deadliest impulse, the need to protect our own at the expense of any other living thing... and we give that impulse such a nice name.

(Claire doesn't catch on what is being explained to her yet.)

Tom's mother: Hyde... is Love--and Love is a psychopath.

Thinking about BBC scifi in the Being Human thread reminded me of this show. I still highly, highly recommend it.

Has anyone else watched it?
