Michigan State basketball took down New Mexico on Sunday night, punching their ticket into the Sweet 16, moving on to the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament. A big part of the resurgence of the Michigan State basketball program has been the leadership and play of point guard Jeremy Fears.
Fears, known by the nickname 'The Floor General', has given the Spartans a massive lift, and while his play is not always at the highest level, Fears is always being a leader to his team and giving the utmost effort defensively.
After the game, in the locker room, Fears spoke to the media about leading his team to the Sweet 16, and gave his input on the big performance from Frankie Fidler, as well as Jase Richardson stepping up when it mattered most.
