I call B.S. If Rattay throws that ball well, he ends up being your hero of the day. Great effort to even try to catch that ball on his part.

That ball was thrown just fine. He is in the NFL and should have made that catch. If he wasnt going to make it he needs to slap it down instead. PERIOD. That was two VERY KEY drops today that if he would have made we likely win.

Lets be honest...it is Jeremy Urban trying to catch a ball from Tim Rattay. You shouldn't expect great plays from this combination.

you shouldn't expect an NFL reciever to catch 2 balls that hit him in the chest or face? Please someone make a joke about this.

The talent depth in the NFL is not what it used to be. Remember that neither Rattay OR Urban started the season on our roster. Urban was brought up when Boldin got hurt and Rattay was just signed. There is a reason that these two weren't on a roster and this is why. Rattay isn't a precision passer and Urban isn't a good wide receiver. That isn't to say that they can't get better, but they aren't very good right now. The day and age that great athlete's are waiting on the streets for phone calls are over guys...get used to it.

If we cut him, who replaces him?

It's frustrating to read that we should cut this guy for missing this, and that guy for not doing that. They were evaluated by our personnel to be the best possible that we had in that position. By cutting people, we're going for leftovers in the FA market to come in and improve our football team? Damn near impossible.

Well we have a couple of guys on the practice squad and we had WRs we cut in preseason who showed more (Spurlock for one) or one we cut off the practice squad recently (Trannon).

If Whisenhunt wants to send a message cutting him would be message received.

I know it was preseason but I really liked Trannon. Would love to have had him in the game today.

Call want you want. The guy choked.

Two HUGE dropped balls. This isn't Seattle we aren't used to our WR's dropping balls in clutch situations. :D
