A day after Jason Garrett gave his reasons for the Cowboys' decision to keep Brett Maher over Dan Bailey, Jerry Jones shared his during a Tuesday morning radio interview. The Cowboys owner and general manager said there were several reasons, but in the end, just felt they could get similar production for less money. "I think we got real comfortable with how Maher was kicking, what kind of offseason he had," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan's Shan and RJ show [KRLD-FM]. "We really felt that we could get the same strategy, the same impact that a kicker like Bailey gives us, we felt we could get that from another guy that fit our cap, fit our team better."
