Defensive lineman Michael Bennett began his first game as a Cowboy by standing on the sideline for the national anthem for the first time since 2016. Bennett had been staying in the locker room during the playing of the anthem, but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he'd spoken to Bennett before last month's trade that brought him to Dallas and expected him to do what the team asks of all their players. It wasn't the last development to please Jones on Monday.
