Derek Jeter was hit on his left hand by a pitch Tuesday night, forcing him out of the Yankees' game against Baltimore, and the teams nearly came to blows when New York tried to retaliate three innings later. With the Orioles leading 9-0 in the third, right-hander Daniel Cabrera plunked Jeter with a 2-1 delivery and the star shortstop spun away in pain.
