The New York Jets have acquired veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick from the Houston Texans for a conditional late-round draft pick. Fitzpatrick is familiar with new Jets offensive coordinator Chan Gailey's system from their three seasons together with the Buffalo Bills. The 32-year-old quarterback will provide Geno Smith, entering his third season, competition for the starting job.
