The New York Jets have released cornerback Antonio Cromartie, a cost-cutting move that will save the team $8 million in salary cap space. The decision Monday marks the second time in three years that the Jets have cut Cromartie, who was re-signed last offseason after a year in Arizona. After reuniting with Darrelle Revis in New York, Cromartie struggled at times midway through the season before having a solid finish.
