Jets' Woody says he's been released (AP)

Jets offensive lineman Damien Woody says he has been cut by New York. He says on his Twitter account that he had just been informed of his release, and thanked the Jets and their fans. Woody just finished his third season with the Jets and his 12th in the NFL. He had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee in December.
