I wonder, if the Diamondbacks are slow out of gates this next year, as was Florida this year, we let blunder Bob go & call up a retiree like that of Jim Leyland. Just like Florida let go of Torborg & called up Jack McKeon.

Maybe someone like Jim Leyland can come out of retirement & lead us to our next World Series Championship!!

I don't think Jim Leyland is as old as Jack McKeon do you? I mean no one thought that Jack McKeon would come back, the Marlins though it was a shot in the dark, who knows.

I still believe that Al Pedrique will be the next D'backs Manager, for a few reasons.

-- His BabyBacks came up from Tucson, prepared to step in and carry the team to its best run of the season. As the veterans move on, his ability to develop young players will be more and more important.

-- Rather than start next season in Bob Brenly's shadow as Bench Coach, he was named 3B Coach, where he could remain pretty much his own man, for when a change becomes necessary.

-- As we've seen on the Suns, Jerry Colangelo likes to promote from within.
