JJ Redick Possibly Coming to Phoenix?

On ESPN's First Take this morning, JJ Redick was asked about these "strong" trade rumors coming out of Phoenix....

He responded by saying yeah I heard the phoenix rumor 2 days ago, but I don't know where they are at in negotiations...

Has ANYONE heard about this rumor?

I was trying to figure out what we would give up, but I think bringing in JJ would solidify Barbosa as our backup PG, with JJ/Barnes/Dudley/Lopez as our reserves....

This was just crap coming from the Orlando Sentinel that was debunked several times already by Suns management, and by Hill himself. Hill has already stated that if he gets traded, he's going to retire.

Alando Tucker would be my guess, but I have to agree that JJ Redick wouldn't be a good choice at backup PG.

Isn't Phoenix still one short of the league minimum roster size? My worst fear is that there are picks being discussed. I think I could live with sending the 2nd rounder from charlotte for JJ but anything more and I would go ballistic.

There is no need for JJ Redick. Suns need a serviceable point guard and a semi-serviceable big man. Redick is neither. As the matter of fact, he is not semi-serviceable anything. He might be a serviceable bench warmer, but we already have Tucker and Dragic.

I'd take a young Pike (who was a very good offensive player) but this does not help the Suns woes at PG or on defense. I do get the gist of what you are saying.

i don't think shooting is the biggest need of this team. since barnes has come here, we finally have the shooter we've needed for a while (not to mention the other things barnes does for us)
