Summit meeting The Nike Hoop Summit (which is where a lot of people saw Dirk Nowitzki for the first time) will be on Sunday of Final Four weekend at the University of Texas-San Antonio Convocation Center. (The Celtics contingent scouting the game had to get hotel rooms in Austin because San Antonio was booked solid.) The game will feature some very interesting players, including the Chinese phenom, 7-foot-1-inch Yi Jian Lian, who, at 17, is too young to be in this year's draft. "He's the one everyone wants to see," offered one league executive. There are a couple of others who are going to be scrutinized: Latvian forward/center Andris Biedrins (who should be a lottery pick) and Croatian guard Roko Leni Ukic. The international team will play a team of 19-and-unders from the US, with the Yanks fielding a squad that includes Dwight Howard, Josh Smith, Sebastian Telfair, and seven other high schoolers. Old friend Joe Kleine is an assistant coach for the US entry

Maybe the Suns can get a better feel for the highschool prospects this way.

From a scouting standpoint this is more important than the final four. I'm sure everyone has a good book on those guys.
