Cubs pitcher Yu Darvish has missed more than two months due to right triceps tendinitis, and he made a trip to Dallas last month to be examined by Rangers team doctor Keith Meister. But Cubs manager Joe Maddon still had to defuse comments made by ESPN analyst Alex Rodriguez that a few of Darvish’s teammates are upset with Darvish’s rehab methods and that they could cause a rift in the clubhouse. “I totally disagree with that,” said Maddon, who was unaware of Rodriguez’s comments until they were relayed by a reporter. “Everyone knows what’s going on.
