Hard to judge this guy. Those two picks were downright horrendous. However, he threw some beautiful balls into tight spaces.

I thought one of his best throws of the day was the 4th down on that last drive.. He threw a ball with perfect touch to the RB.. that was a big throw

He also put some nice ones on Fitz.. but seriously, Fitz should have caught about 200 yards worth of passes if Skelton had some more accuracy..

All in all though, I think he did a good job today. After both picks he led the team down for touchdowns

Winning ugly is better then losing pretty, or in Kolb's case, losing ugly. He's not a franchise QB, but the team wins when he's out there and that's all that matters.

3) Accuarcy

Four of our losses are from a combined 11 points and can largely be attributed to Kolb's nonexistent poise when the pressure is up. Skelton has demonstrated that he can perform under pressure as we saw today. I wonder what our record would be if he was the season starter, I firmly believe (way) better than 3-6.

Yes, Skelton has some rough edges but he is clearly better than Kolb. If you can't see that then you deserve crap like Anderson, Hall, and Kolb.

He gets the ball out much much quicker than Kolb does. I really dont know where you're getting this slow motion stuff, maybe you saw a few plays with big windups but he has a pretty quick release. His mechanics are one of his strongest qualities, in fact his release speed and arm motion are probably the biggest reason he was drafted at all.

Gotta disagree. Skelton has a VERY fast delivery and a short windup. I pointed it out several times today to my wife. In fact I said it last year in my camp write-up.

Both interceptions were ugly, stupid reads. That being said, he's got poise and some touch on passes (while having a big arm). I've been a big Kolb supporter, but even as a fan I'm more at ease with Skelton behind center. He was clutch today. Clutch. That's something we've been missing all year during all of our 4th quarter losses. Kolb continually settled for sacks, interceptions, or punts when he had the ball in the 4th.

Taking a late 18 yard sack while in field goal range in Washington, making a mind bogglingly stupid read against Seattle, while in FG range on the final drive. Getting 10 yards passing during the 2nd half against the Ravens in a game the defense gift wrapped for us and a similar outcome in the Giants game.

I honestly think they would have at least 2 more wins, maybe 3, if not for Kolb's complete inabilty to execute in the clutch.

Seriously, his release speed is well above average and his throwing motion is text book. You're right about his accuracy, but the knocks on his mechanics are completely unfounded.

Oh I have watched his every throw he has made in the nfl and I just disagree,I pointed out the sports science thing as my basis.
