Leaving here for a similar offer and becoming less of a star on a lesser team that is ripping apart at the seams and noone wants to go there.

Dolphins are becoming the "Same Ole Cardinals" from the 90s and early 2000s.

Signing David Garrard to a one-year contract is akin to the Cards signing Jeff Blake to a one-year contract in 2003.

With Devon Bess as the #1 target, I don't see this team getting out of the cellar in the AFC east and will likely be in the Matt Barkley/Landry Jones sweepstakes in 2013, unless they are clueless and roll the dice with Tannehill.

Truth be told, I don't think Dansby cares how good or bad the Dolphins are. His motivation was about money when he signed his deal, not where he would be playing. He made that abundantly clear when he was tendered twice in Arizona.

Karlos is an excellent football player

he wanted two things: the money ( dont we all, btw), but more importantly, he wanted to be the "big deal" --- he resigned in AZ, its a press release. In Miami, he ( for a while) was the center of attention, the Dolphins big splash, etc.

I'll take D Wash now!
But it's not just a DWash for Dansby discussion. It's Dansby + whomever the Cards would have drafted instead of DWash.

I think that tips the scales for me. I'd rather have Dansby and that pick back. If it were straight up I might be inclined to agree with you.

I'll bet Karlos was kicking himself for leaving while the Cards were going 3-15 and if he thinks anything is a joke its the contract the Cards gave to Kevin Kolb.

I am good without overpaying for Dansby.

While we are at it, I am good without Rolle.

I miss Q, but it is what he wanted and you can't pay two #1's; so the organizations showed some class and helped Q go where he wanted.

Wow. If you add those three things up, you would say Graves / Bidwill / Whizz are a great front office...(trying, here).

I guess the rest of the division had to be pretty awful as well to have put us in the playoffs. Looks like we won a game there too, so maybe we weren't all that bad after all....

Technically it would have to be DWash + the money we saved vs. Dansby, the 2nd rounder and their contract.

DWash is a better, younger and significantly cheaper player. There isn't a team in the league who would take Dansby and his contract over DWash and his....

But add in a second round pick and there are likely plenty.

It's a moot point. It happened the way it happened. I like DWash and am not looking backwards unless provoked! ;)

True, but I was thinking that the extra money cancels out the 2nd rounder because it could be used on a starter-level FA....
