Well, at least our special teams should be solid... Outside of Feely anyway.

I am only guessing here: Arians must have a role in mind for him (duh)

Anybody have ideas from the Steeler years on what he could be thinking? The pursuit of Reggie Bush as well makes me wonder-

It seems they are looking for a third down type guy who can also play some in the slot, good on specials, etc.

Contrary to reports, Josh Cribbs not only doesn't have a deal with the Cards, I'm told it's not even close. He is still playing the field...

I think I am more excited about this signing then all the rest. At least I know this guy can play and is a good returner. Can also replace Doucet as well as LSH. The guy is a top 5 kickoff and punt returner.

Every other outlet says the deal will be done tomorrow. Did ESPN and KTAR "Tim Ring" us?

He will be the replacement for Hyphen.

Even if this is all he is, a replacement, its still a huge upgrade over LSH. It wasn't that long ago this guy was a real weapon. I'd love to he him lineup in the slot 5-8 times a game or even in the back field a couple of times. He is a big body that can do a lot with the football.

Depending on how they use him and the price, this could be a great signing!

Man I hope this happens. Josh has always been one of my favorite players. Not sure what he has left, I was one of the people on this board pimping him last time he was a free agent.

+1

Love Cribbs. We need a leader, and that guy is a leader.

This! He earns his money on special teams and is without a doubt an upgrade over the hyphen. If he can be our version of Leon Washington, I'll be a happy Cardinal.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him flashback to his days at Kent State and get to play some QB and run the read option to help the run game. Maybe waiving that QB possibility in front of him is why he didn't really consider anyone else.

Plus we now have the biggest return tandem in the NFL by far adding him at 6'1 215 to pair with Peterson.....and people gotta remember, he is a coverage guy on special teams too, great gunner and makes some great tackles on KOs. Just wants to be on the field as much as he can, and I think Arians will give him that chance, and this will end up being a great signing.
