No other details yet, but my guess is another failed drug test and he be done for good. If not and they are just giving him a fresh start, I'd take a flyer for the rest of the season.

Sounds like he wants the fresh start. I'd let Fitz mentor him and see.

Bad eggs don't usually turn good again. Josh Gordon is a tantalizing talent but the guy just does not have his head on straight and probably never will.

If a guy who virtually threw away an NFL career over drugs and got a second chance isn't on the straight and narrow by now, he never will be. Cleveland is starved for WR talent and if they're willing to dump him, I don't see how he's worth any kind of risk. And I love his game.

If he's not facing another ban imminently, yes I pull the trigger.

Screw that, we don't need his problems. It's not like signing Gordon gets us in the playoffs. . .

Showed up late to practice and was "not himself" and Cleveland.com reporting "there was concern that perhaps he was struggling again with his sobriety or on the verge of relapsing, sources said." Otherwise known as he probably showed up high or drunk, or both.

New report he hurt his hamstring at a promotional shoot, which was went he was late and let to all this. They publicly set the Monday deadline with intentions to trade him and build interest. I'd send a conditional 5th to kick to tires.

Why? Do you think the cards make the playoffs with him? Do you think he is a good locker room influence? Do you expect him to suddenly get himself together and be a productive player?

I know a fifth ain't much, but the odds of him being a good addition are slim to none in my opinion, I think he is more than likely a bad influence, hence why even cleveland is ready to dump him.

.

Because if Fitz can teach him to be a professional and get him on track, while PP also supports him like he did with Tyrann Mathieu, we might actually have someone to take over for Fitz here soon. This is a move you hope plans out long term by taking a short term gamble.

Gordon and TM both have similar substance abuse issues, but one landed in Cleveland, while the other in AZ.

Hurt his hamstring mysteriously and they had enough.

As long as he isn’t facing a ban. Could not make us look any worse as last Sunday.

This is the same board that gushes over Fitzgerald being so classy....oh how quickly those souls are up for sell

Because he smokes pot, people are selling their souls?

Curious, were you equally as appalled for the child beater AP or when people wanted women beater Greg Hardy? Or when we drafted TM?

Willing to take on a pothead is a bit of a departure from classy, well-respected players like Fitzgerald. It's one thing to smoke pot on occasion and it's another to throw everything away in favor of being a stoner. Which is apparently what Gordon has been willing to do.

Which is also different from AP. How does strict disciplinarian equate to a drug addict?

How, indeed??

Gee, let's see, one smoked weed and hurt no one but himself and his own carreer. The other beat his kid until his scrotum was bloody.

Perhaps you think Ray Rice was just a "strict disciplinarian" too?

Do you actually believe that smoking pot is worse than abusing a child??

AP caused severe wounds on his sons testicles. There is no disputing that and that is not being a strict disciplinarian.

Josh Gordon smokes pot as did TM and the Cards turned his life around. Both players were kicked off their college teams. I'm willing to let Fitz teach him to he be a professional. If it doesn't work, you move on and if it does, you have a true #1 to take over for Fitz when he retires. It's truly and low risk high reward in a season that will be a rebuild year.

The same classy wr who beat his baby momma and had it swept under the rug? We don’t need choir boys, we need playermakerz.
