"– On the defensive side, there were strong showings once again from the likes of Calais Campbell (+1.1) and Tyrann Mathieu (+3.9), but last night’s standout was Josh Mauro (+4.2). Working on the edge, Mauro’s best work came in the first half working against Brent Celek, preventing the Eagles’ tight end from cutting off the back side of the play to squeeze down and control the cutback lanes. Adding a forced fumble, Mauro has only topped the three stops he recorded last night once before in his career."

Undrafted out of Stanford. Signed by the Cardinals off of the Steelers practice squad.

Smart player. Can play 5 positions.

Pass rush is improving, and the OLBs are really pulling their weight in the run game. He's been a nice addition for sure.

I've liked what I have seen from Mauro last year and again this season. Solid rotational guy with a little bit of upside.

Along with Keim, the scouting dept deserves some credit for finding these guys along the defensive line. It seems like just about every guy they have brought in and played has been at least serviceable if not pretty damn decent.

I remember the days where signing a D-Linemen meant it was the likes of a Peppi Zellner, Ross Kolodzjei, or Fred Wakefield (who ended up having to convert to the other side of the ball), guys that brought absolutely nothing to the table and probably should not have even been in the NFL.
