Just finished this book from 2005 from my favorite writer, Douglas Coupland. Just learned its a Canadian TV show that debuted Jan. 8. Saw some clips on YouTube and it's stuff lifted directly from the book.
Coupland's style is fluid and absurd. It's hard to imagine his elegant hipster-style prose translating to live-action anything (because no one actually talks like that, much the same problem Kevin Smith has), but I'm dying to see this. None of the content is streamed on the website yet.
Has anyone seen it and want to tell me if I should go through the trouble to beg CBC to send me copies of the show?
