Still never saw what "trick Green had up his sleaves" for today.

I'm going out on a limb and saying that they are working out a trade for Moss......

Moss

for

Boldin
AZ's #1

AZ doesn't want to trade Boldin...thats the hang up

Way too much to give up...although I think you may be on the right track. After thinking about it, I would give up quite a bit to get Moss, he is one of the few players in the NFL that can single-handedly take over games.

Well that would be the dumbest move this team has made in a long time and that is saying something.

Screw Moss and get some defense. Boldin goes nowhere.

Sign some FA's for crying out loud!

Would you give up Ray Thompson, Pace, and the #3?
Defensive guys, believe it or not, might be what they'd ask for.

In a heartbeat - no way do you throw Quan in there though - Quan and number 3 pick is just way too much. I would throw #3, #33 and Ray.

I think I would actually crap in my pants if we somehow got Moss and paired him with Quan - I actually don't care who we would have to give up as long as it wasn't Dexter Jackson.

I know this will NEVER happen - but if this team somehow traded for Moss (while keeping Quan and Dexter Jackson) for anyone and any other draft picks and was also able to sign Berry and Mcklin - then I would have to say it was THE greatest offseason this team has ever had - not to mention signing Dennis Green.

It's a pipe dream, but as long I as steadfastly believe the Colangelos will somehow someway get Kobe in a Suns uni if he's not wearing stripes, then I guess I can throw those unrealistic expectations onto my other favorite team - to live in reality is just to boring these days in Cards and Suns land (although AMARE STOUDEMIRE IS THE FREAKING MAN!)

Lets say the trade is made and we give up Boldin for Moss, what will Green do when Moss becomes unhappy and starts to take time out on some plays/downs during games?

I'll bank the Cards offense future on Boldin any day, if not for him, last season would have been and complete wash.:cards:

Lets see, we trade a great young talent with a reasonable contract who is just beginning to tap his talent and the 3rd pick in the draft, for probably the best receiver in the league when he wants to be, which is about half the time, who never seems satisfied... no 1000 times no... That is a trade that would come back to haunt this team... and this team doesnt need any haunting....

If they threw in Boldin in ANY deal, for ANY player, at this point that would be the catalyst for me to no longer root for this team.

Very seriously.

If that is the case, I am opposite of the icon below:

(1) Let me capitalize so you guys don't miss this: MOSS DOES NOT TAKE OFF PLAYS. HE PLAYED WITH A CONCUSSION. HE PLAYED WITH LEG DAMAGE. HE PLAYED WITH A SERIOUS FLU AND TOOK IV AT HALFTIME. THAT WAS ALL JUST THIS YEAR. I HAVE SEEN HIM PLAY EVERY GAME IN THE NFL HE HAS PLAYED AT LEAST 2 TIMES NEVER HAS HE TAKEN A PLAYOFF.

THE ONLY TIME HE HAS BEEN UNHAPPY IS WHEN THE TEAM LOSSES GAMES.

(2) The way you people talk about Boldin is the way Moss is really.
I would trade Boldin I would not trade Moss. The Vikes have said they wanted more the TWO number 1 draft picks.

(3) Moss just helped the Vikes get Winefield. Moss and Tice are tight. This will not happen. Pick another big plan DG is working on. The thing is with Boldin you got 3 legit wins add Moss to the team and you at least 5 more wins maybe more. DG knows how to use Moss unlike Tice. The Cards would be a changed team over night. Your QB and RB would become much much better overnight. When Moss is used properly he cannot be stopped and in order to try and stop him everyone else gets opened up.

There is no way the Vikes can get fair trade value for him.

Vikesfan, I know you like Moss, but, you need to read and stick around a bit more to understand why we would never advocate a trade for Boldin.

There are FEW possesion receivers worth their salt. Dude is a Salt Lick.

You obviously watch the game through clouded eyes. I have watched Moss play numerous numerous times and have personally witnessed him dog it on more than a few occasions.

THAT IS A FACT!

Thats not even mentioning that he openly and publicly stated that he takes plays off.

So you can go on raving about his supposed squeaky clean image that he has with you. We realize this. But we also know theres your version and then there is the truth!

that being said I would still take him in a second. Just not at the expense of Boldin!

Yeah f Moss for Boldin. Boldin takes pride in punishing db's on running plays while Moss is busy picking his fro for the camera.

Totally agree. If we traded Boldin for Moss... I wouldn't know how to put into words the anger and disapointment I would be feeling.

In saying that. I love for Moss to be a Cardinal. Just not at the expense of losing the Q.

Can Moss rush the passer? At least he would make it easier for the cards to score 35+ per game to overcome the defense giving up 31 per game.

Moss to AZ is interesting. Again, I worry about the cost to AZ long term with what they have to give up to get him. The Vikings, IMO, are in the drivers seat. It isn;t like they have to move.

VIKESFAN, don't ever change your name. You belong wearing the purple jersy.
Randy Moss is full of himself. He helped the Vikings get Winfield? Give me a break. What did he do give him part of the signing bonus.
Moss dosen't take plays off? THE WHOLE FRICKIN WORLD SEES MOSS TAKING PLAYS OFF! Announcers, fans, other players and coaches have all commented on that at one time or another.
I don't deny he is a great talent. I don't deny that it would be great if we were to get him here. But any team is going to be in the drivers seat when it comes to trading for him because it's evident that Tice and the Vikes would like to trade him and his salary. I'd give them our second pick this year and a first next year. Don't like it? Then Mr. Tice , go call somebody else.
Trade Boldin? Your plain crazy and smokin way to much of the purple weed.

I won't comment, but Quan better be in a Cardinal helmet for a long time.

I guess this issue just won't die. But, Dennis Green was qouted in the paper today as saying the asking price for Moss is way too high.

I want a refund on my tickets If we trade Anquan away.....some of the suggestions for Randy are way to high....no way I give our 1st & 2nd pick and some players....the guy has baggage....mind you I would like to see him on the team, but be realistic.....

1st pick (#3) and maybe our 4th.....Keep in mind Marshall Faulk was a 2md round pick & 4th when he went to the Rams, I believe.......so with the 1st & 4th.... that is fair value, probably too much being given up on our side, but I could live with it

isn't going anywhere. I'm telling you now (Freddie & the Dreamers?). We're not giving him up. We'll make him tremendous offers, or if need be franchise him, eventually, but we won't trade him.

Thanks for the heart attack, Ryan :)

When I first read your post, I got the idea Jurecki was hinting at Boldin/Moss instead of your speculation.
