Noticed Nick Sirianni got Jalen Hurts’ face after a fumble. Seemed to improve his play. I wouldn’t mind seeing some instant accountability on the Cards’ sideline. Of course with no Offensive Coordinator & no real QB Coach, I’m quite sure it will never happen. Kingsbury’s style seems more like Alfred E Neuman for all you old Mad Magazine readers.

This is a dumb post. Sirianni can throw Hurts in the trash can whenever he wants. He's a second-round pick from a previous regime.

If you don't think that the dynamics between Kliff, Kyler, and the organization are different, I don't know what to tell you. You also have no idea whether Kyler would respond to that kind of feedback. Something tells me probably not.

Kliff in previous years would sit with kyler on the bench between possessions. Don’t think I’ve seen that lately

Also, what really got Hurts attention is that when he missed a game and Minshew started their offense looked great.

To be fair I barely saw any last night but statistically Hurts was brilliant last night. Something like 22-25 , 2 rushing TD's etc. WFT was short a bunch of starters but if he could play remotely like that throwing the ball they will be thrilled. he's a very good runner, very powerful, and their run game is very similar to the ravens now, but when teams make them throw he has not been able to do it consistently. But apparently last night he did

I’m sorry my post wasn’t intellectual enough to meet the high standards you’ve established. I prefer coaches who show some emotions. To me Kingsbury looks too cool & detached. What are the dynamics to which you refer? I hardly ever see them even converse during the game. I seldom see that level of isolation with other coaches. As to whether or not Murray would respond, since the beginning of the Green Bay game Murray has not played well. So I think we can surmise that what they are doing now isn’t generating a positive response. Sometimes it seems to help just to shake things up. Something tells me you’ve have no idea whether or not he’d respond. We’re both guessing. I’m just suggesting changing tactics.

My understanding (I don't watch any Philly games) is that Hurts can be successful in an extremely college offense (like mostly RPOs). You can't run a complete offense with him. In this way, he's kind of a poor-man's Tua.

I like all kinds of emotions, but just because you don't like the way Kingsbury works the sideline doesn't mean he's bad or needs to change or has any impact whatsoever on the wins and losses. He didn't seem too cool and detached when he was getting T'd up against the 49ers.

The dynamics I'm referring to are this: if Kyler went to Keim and said "I can't play with Coach K and I won't sign an extension if he's still here," what do you think happens? If Kliff goes to Keim and says, "I don't think Kyler is a winner after all," who do you think goes?

It's a poor coach that decides that screaming at a player is going to make a difference, especially professional athletes. Maybe Coach should try kicking Kyler Murray like Urban Meyer did. Just changing tactics.

In terms of how Kyler would respond I think I tend to agree with you but we’ve never seen it. Something tells him his father likely didn’t coddle him, so maybe he responds to it better than you think.

As for the dynamic, pretty sure McVay had gotten in goff’s face and he was the golden boy #1 pick too, so yeah there’s precedent. And I don’t think it’s rare.

You mean when Hurts walked by without paying attention to him? Boy, imagine the long diatribe posts against Kyler here if that happened.
Doesn’t mean he didn’t hear it and message wasn’t delivered and received. I know many people who won’t respond outwardly but such criticism drives them internally.

And yes kyler would be blasted here doe that.

Goff was a #1 pick from a previous regime, also. McVay was kinda stuck with him when he came in, but it wasn’t like Goff was Rookie of the Year. He was on a two-years-and-done track.

I honestly don’t know anything about his dads coaching style, but I think that anyone would respond negatively to a suddenly change in attitude after three years’ coaching and seven years knowing each other. It would come off as so phony.

So you hated arians? He got in players faces.
No, because Arians was always the guy he was and was never phony. I loved Arians, but there’s more than one way to be a successful head coach in any league and at any level. But if Kliff started acting like Rex Ryan no one would believe it.

Spot on brother. The Eagles don't even know if Hurts is the franchise QB or not so that gives their coaches free reign to get in his ass. Kyler being a franchise QB & #1 pick changes that with us, plus that's just not the style of KK. KK will be shown the door long before Kyler & everyone should know that. Different players respond differently to motivational tactics. Some you can really push & others you have to coddle. Kyler doesn't strike me as one that would respond well to "in your face" stuff but who knows? Just one man's opinion.

Goff was a pro bowler in his first two seasons with mcvay so this “two-years and done track” is complete revisionist history.

That’s fine and all but he stunk up the joint his rookie season. McVay didn’t pick him and wasn’t invested in him more than, “see if you can get anything out of this chump.”

For what it's worth I like the Alfred E Neuman reference. Was once a devoted Mad magazine reader.

How likely is anyone to have some drastic personality change past the age of 5? He could try to fake it but I don't think that would be effective at all. Players would see right through it.

The hard ass approach was a complete bomb for Urban Meyers. I think for an old coach like Arians it still works because everyone knows exactly who he is.

Plus BA mixes in a little genius with his style. Always a plus.

Not a wild Guess. Kliff will be gone the moment he challenges Kyler.

Agreed. Kliff would not win that battle.
We’ll then that is a problem. I don’t care if you’re pick #1 or Mr Irrelevant, you should be able to be coached the same. If a coach would be “gone” the minute he challenged a high profile player, then that organization need to re-evaluate its priorities.

I agree with you but in this case I believe the relationship is defined and won’t change. In my opinion Murray would benefit more from a hard nosed coach in the long run.
