I was watching him run and he still has that bounce in his step. Still never got why everyone was thinking he looked slow (or almost wanted him to be slow by early remarks and it seemed made some here on the forum happy) in preseason when he was moving just as fast as Williams behind that crap second string, I think some people here just do not like him which makes no sense, after all, all he did was devote himself to the Cardinals like no other free agent we had in a while :newcards:

Jj nelson is our best weapon

Valdaher must be replaced by wetzel who is an average starter in this league
Boehm should be switched to play center

With humphries healthy
Our best line should be

Humphries iupati boehm boone wetzel

Iupati is washed up too but if healthy can be an efficient run blocker

He has the instict to find the hole but clearly lost top end speed
Is not a nightmare anymore in the backfield
Just a diligent runner

Veldheer Iupati Boehm Boone Humphries

Veldheer is a decent left tackle, struggling right tackle.
Humphries was a decent right tackle last season.
Boehm should be center instead of the under sized and unathletic Shipley.

Look I know Shipley is not a good physical speciman, but he is our most reliable lineman along with boehm. They both need to play.

I am having a hard time believing veldheer has degraded to a garbage tackle in one offseason. I am still thinking the switch to right tackle must be the biggest reason why.

Overall the line was definetly better this week. Need to review the tape to get a better idea.

CJ should start. He finds holes better and is a better pass blocker.

I hate how KW just runs hard into the back of our guards. I know our oline has no push but KW should be doing other things than pushing their backs.

CJ probably should start, because he just has much better vision than the rest of our backs.

But for those denying he has lost a step, all I have to say is you must be blind.

Try watching some old clips of him on YouTube.

His preseason play didn't instill much confidence, but today sure as hell did. He showed more than plenty to claim the starter spot.

I will not fault him for not being what he once was, very few ever had his burst... his speed is still better than adequate now but because of what he once was, people are compelled to call him 'slow' in my opinion not realizing he has a step to give and still be relevant

Agreed. He's lost a couple steps, but he's still better than KW just based on his vision and this O-line.

CJ is the best if the line can't open decent holes. Williams is more of a speed back and has had several nice games for this team but needs running room. CJ can slice better and is tougher. He'll likely get more with this line.

KW problem is he can't see the hole and runs into blockers too often. Lacks the vision of a good back.

CJ finds the hole if its there. No question that CJ should start from here on out especially since he can block so well to protect CP.
