Don't forget Frye. If I remember correctly, Sarver signed Chilli, Frye, Hedo, and Warrick all in one summer- four of the worst signings in recent history.

Turkoglu was a trade (Barbosa), but I take your point. Even so, I always felt that Childress was by far the worst overpayment. Frye was a solid contributor before his heart problem, and Warrick was at least relatively cheap. Childress was clearly awful and the Suns paid him at least three times as much as anyone else would have dreamed of doing.

Ah, that's right, Hedo was indeed acquired via trade. That was one hell of a bad summer. It's amazing to me that the Suns are in such a decent financial situation (cap-wise.)
Worst thing about Chilli, if I am remembering this correctly, is that nobody else was really offering him anything near what Sarver offered him. Suns were pretty much bidding against themselves.
