Solid play from him today, hope he keeps it up and makes the RT spot permanently his.

I didn't notice him at all which was great.

I was actually very surprised at how well the OL played. Some of those plays reminded me of his Oklahoma tape with huge clean pockets. Detriot didn't bring much pressure so we'll see if they can hold up to more blitz packages and better outside rushers (I didn't see any anybody on Detroit rushing the edge and bending the corner at all, maybe that was by design to keep Murray contained).

No. Insanely well for a guy with that little preparation. It’s actually astonishing. I expected an Andre Smith type performance at best.

Exactly.

Murray could have thrown a picnic in the backfield on multiple occasions. The pass blocking was a revelation...

I don't think DET blitzed very much at all, did they? That was weird.

Kingsbury ran one of the least blitzed offenses in college every year as we know. The Detroit defensive coaches knew that the best way to stop this offense is to flood the secondary with defensive backs. I think that really threw K & K off but they finally figured it out at the end. They had to be expecting Detroit to bring the house after the Raiders game.

Kid played well, I see what Steve Keim saw in him now. He got beat a few times but nothing major. All things considered, starting his first game after only being a practice squad player, he did a fine job. I'll be interested to see how well he grades out when PFF puts their number out?
I was thinking that the whole game

The Lions defensive game plan felt very Belichick-esque...Do the exact opposite of what everyone thinks your going to do.

I think he became more comfortable with the enhanced speed of pro game and caught up to it in the 4Q.

He's not all the way there yet (he'll need to put 4 consecutive quarters together that resemble the 4th Q vs. Detrioit, but you can see the future possibilities.

Ooops! Wrong Murray.

Note - Anyone notice the pairs of Cardinal players with identical last names?

It used to be only "Williams." Now we've got Murray, Johnson, Thompson and I think one or two others.

When Bilichick was asked why he drafted a player whose last name happened to be Williams, he replied: "We drafted the best available Williams."
