Justin Upton's Contract...

Does anyone know what kind of Contract Justin Upton is on right now?

Is it concievable to lock him into a long term deal this year?? I am terrified he will get soo good that he will demand AROD money, and we won't be able to pay him that...

So can the DBacks offer him like a 8-9 year deal with a team option for the 10th year, starting at like 10 million a year.... And as incentive and loyalty offer to start paying him this year...

Any way this happends?

He is signed on his rookie contract through the 2010 season, after which he will still be arbitration eligible. Thus, we won't see a contract extension until we actually get closer to the point at which an extension is about to kick in.
