Thank You Paul!
I finally made it out to this place at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass. It was definitely a splurge, but by far the best dining experience I've had.
If anyone wants to go on a top flight occasion meal I would put this above anyplace else in the valley.
The service is amazing. I don't want to give particulars in case someone does go, but it's fun to watch and impressive.
The food is incredible. We started off with a braised lobster tail on some flatbread and a couple of scallops. Both dishes were beyond expectation and the lobster sat above it all.
For the main dish I had the buffalo tenderloin and my wife had the filet. The buffalo had a definite southwestern feel to it with some garnish that balanced out the meat perfectly. The filet had cheese crumbles encrusted on it and a couple of side bites to help round out the meal. Both of us were ecstatic over the taste of the food.
Ended with the chocolate souffle with a mole cream sauce - this too was phenomenal.
The wine list was comprehensive and crossed a wide spectrum. We decided to drink by the glass and both felt there was good value at that level.
Aside from the food, presentation and service where this place makes their marks are the little details - the timing of the meal is exceptional, you do get some surprises throughout (once again I don't want to spoil it) and definitely bring you car up to the front and let them valet it
You are known by name from the moment you step in - the place is cozy and intimate - the decor is fairly understated, but very nice
Didn't want to leave when it was all done - but our server even helped us find a backway to the westside with the I-10 being shut down in spots
I would definitely recommend setting some $ aside and giving this one a try.
