Kansas AD Perkins to retire (AP)

Kansas athletic director Lew Perkins plans to retire next year. The 65-year-old Perkins announced his decision in a statement released through the school Thursday afternoon. The announcement came one day after Perkins was cleared of any wrongdoing in connection with the free use of exercise equipment for favors.
