While we all wait for news on the Kurt Warner situation, free agency hasn't stopped. Outside linebacker Clark Haggans, who played last year for the Cardinals, is leaving today to visit Kansas City, according to his agent Jeff Sperbeck.

Contract talks with the Cardinals haven't progressed, and Haggans will see what the Chiefs have to offer. He's arriving there this afternoon and will visit tonight and tomorrow.

Haggans played last year under a 1-year, $1 million deal. When he was healthy, Haggans played behind Chike Okeafor on the strong side but the two split snaps. Haggans played well until suffering a foot injury late in the season, and he missed the playoffs.

KC just released Donnie Edwards, so there is a void at OLB. Good move for them. Sucks for us.

We dont need him. We went to the Super Bowl and we have Rod Graves. We'll just sighn a PS player from Oakland to take his place and all will be well. Maybe St Pierre will play both ways this year.

Well, we did go to the Super Bowl without him. I think he got injured in week 11 and was placed on injure reserve.

The guy had 19 tackles and 1 sack. Why do we try to make more out if this than there really is?

Well the guy who he split time with is due to make like 6 mil this year and unless he is willing to play for 15% of that he will be cut.

There are few if any decent players at their postion still remaining on the FA market, so if both of them are gone that we are essentially forced into drafting a player at that position and starting him from day one. I'm sure you remembver the days when that was the case with this team at a few positions every year. I dont miss those days.

Haggans was effective when on the field (he made the goalline tackle to win the SF game) and was a leader and teacher to his teammates. To think that we wont miss him is being a bit naive IMO.

We need to restructure Chike like we did with Berry last year. Laboy and Berry on the one side and Chike and (English/Sintim???) on the other.

St. Pierre could play both ways? ladies.....

I want Haggans to come back just because his camo shirt at training camp was badass. That and the goal line stand against the niners was the greatest moment of the season for me. Him ripping Robinson's face off. awesome.

Considering we have cap space Okeafer being cut isnt a sure thing, so until they do cut him or even give an indication that they will cut him Haggans can leave for all I care. Very underwhelming on the field, save for one play. 19 tackles, 1 sack in 11 games, thats not hard to replace at all.

WTF... he was a decent depth addition. Why are we not even attempting to keep him?

Can we atleast agree that the BroHawk was a great addition to the team?

I would call this part of the article as attempting, "Contract talks with the Cardinals"

Brohawk was lame. If your going to go with the hawk then actually do it, dont half ass it. MR. T would of tore his brohawk of his head, then throw him over a car all the while shooting guns at him but never actually killing him. (for all the a-team fans out there)

Because maybe we think we can do better for cheaper. Remember he was a player who was cut last year and we picked him up. He was cut for a reason, they had better cheaper players. He was also injured last year and has been in the league for 9 years. He may be reaching the end of his useful NFL life.

i heard St.Savior was willing to give back $100 of his contract if it was used toward re-signing Haggans

Haggans got 1-million dollars to back up Okeafor last year, and that is what is probably on the table for some vet to do that job. If KC is prepared to pay more for his services, so be it. He isn't worth more than what he was paid IMO.
