The Kansas City Chiefs have made several moves this offseason to keep core players and sign key free agents. Their long-time AFC rival, the Cincinnati Bengals, has granted two lucrative contract extensions to its two star wide receivers, which caught the eye of Travis Kelce, who addressed the matter on the latest episode of New Heights.

“For those who are wondering, yes, Joe Burrow is making $55 million per year, Ja’Marr Chase making just over $40 mill a year, and Tee Higgins making close to $30 million a year,” said Kelce, “that’s over $125 million per year in new money on just three offensive players when you say it like that, that is f bonkers. I’m not saying it shouldn’t be done. It’s just never been done.”

Cincinnati barely missed the postseason last year after battling back with a five-game winning streak to end the regular season. At 9-8, they showed the chemistry they were missing to start the season and are securing offensive weapons for the next few years.

Kelce is viewing the situation like many other critics, wondering how the rest of the roster will fill out on both sides.
