Jordan Webb threw three touchdown passes and Kansas rebounded from last week's humiliating loss to North Dakota State with a 28-25 upset of No. 15 Georgia Tech. Capping a tumultuous eight days which included the abrupt retirement of their controversial athletic director, the Jayhawks (1-1) capitalized on a succession of mistakes by the heavily favored Yellow Jackets (1-1) on Saturday and posted...

Long season. Surely looks like the BE and ACC are at the bottom this year, but lets wait for the year to end and see what Bowl records look like.

P.S. I dont think the SEC or Big 12 or Pac 10 is as good as they have been the last several years.

I never thought I'd here myself saying this but, gulp..., maybe the Big ten is the best conference this year?

P.S.S. GTech losing couldnt have happened to a nicer guy in Paul Johnson. Did you guys all know he was a football Genius?

Head to head this week between conferences. Miami vs. Pitt and NC State vs. Cincinnati. Worst of the bad?

NcState looked bad last week. They were outplayed and should have lost...i guess forcing 6 turnovers always gives you a chance though.

I dont like Pitt's chances this week after UofM took one on the chin last week.

I like Pitt's chance and I am a U M Fan. Wannstedt out coaches Shannon and Miami has problems on DL, OL, and LB. Harris loves to throw picks. Pitt is at home, at night.

A perfectly good Kansas thread ruined.

At least the win over GTech shut Jon up for a week.

MMMMOK

I don't remember starting a thread or even mention much, if at all the Jayhawks loss to a team that only won 3 FCS games all last year, beating a low schollie Wagner, and two teams that won 1 game each last year.

But I can...

You had me until you said "Shannon outcoached by Wannstedt" That Pitt team has had talent for years but always seems to underachieve and I blame Wanny for that.

Also, isnt Romulis(sp) out for the year?

I really liked Harris last year, but the wheels kinda fell off against OSU. He'll bounce back.

the wheels fall of for him quite a bit ..... he's either on or he's off ..... don't think he knows what an OK game is

last week against Ohio State they dropped a ton of passes, turnovers, complete inability to tackle or pressure prior ...... just looked bad all the way around

then again, I watched Pitt lose @ BYU to open the year and they looked horrible as well

You already shot your load. Maybe if you followed a program, any program, that mattered in something, you wouldn't have to pay such attention to others.

:biglaugh:

I do follow programs that matter. And putting a score that was unusual in a thread about opening weekend was appropriate. If Wally hadn't mentioned the Jacksonville State score, I would have...

I know you are on edge because you are awaiting the NCAA to come down on the cheatin' Hawks, but really....
