How does baseball betting work?
TB is the clear favorite, at home, 7-0 vs. KC this season, KC has lost 13 of 16...
If Tampa should win the game, which is more likely to happen, why would it pay better than the dog winning?
Maybe I'm reading these wrong?

Looks like TAM -2.5 would be the favorite and KAN +2.5 is the dog.
Right?
Correct Tampa is the favorite. But in order for them to win they have to win by 3 runs. It is considered to be a much harder bet. Thus it pays more regardless of who is the favorite.
Seemed shady so I skipped it. Tampa was most likely going to win by several runs so the odds seemed stacked to me.
Final - Rays won 7-1, as expected.
Not shady at all that's how betting works. When you are giving runs it changes everything.
I understand that to a point but TB -3.5 was more likely to happen than KAN +2.5. Why wouldn't the outcome LEAST likely to happen have the higher odds to entice betting?
I totally disagree with that. In Baseball if you are getting points you get higher odds no matter who the better team is. To many 4-3 2-1 5-3 6-4 games etc... Regardless of talent level.
