Let's be honest here.. if we all were talent evaluators and good at what we do, we would likely be in an NFL war room on draft day helping call the shots.

So many people are taken aback by what the Cardinals did on draft day and let's be real........ you can't judge this draft until at least a few years have passed.

But to help with some perspective...

2012 Draft Class (1st & 2nd Round):

Andrew Luck QB Stanford
Robert Griffin III QB Baylor
Trent Richardson RB Alabama
Matt Kalil OT USC
Justin Blackmon WR Oklahoma State
Morris Claiborne CB LSU
Mark Barron S Alabama
Ryan Tannehill QB Texas A&M
Luke Kuechly LB Boston College
Stephon Gilmore CB South Carolina
Dontari Poe DT Memphis
Fletcher Cox DT Mississippi State
Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame Ind.
Michael Brockers DT LSU
Bruce Irvin DE West Virginia
Quinton Coples DE North Carolina
Dre Kirkpatrick CB Alabama
Melvin Ingram LB South Carolina SEC
Shea McClellin DE Boise State MWC
Kendall Wright WR Baylor
Chandler Jones DE Syracuse
Brandon Weeden QB Oklahoma State
Riley Reiff OT Iowa
David DeCastro G Stanford
Dont'a Hightower LB Alabama
Whitney Mercilus DE Illinois
Kevin Zeitler G Wisconsin
Nick Perry LB USC
Harrison Smith S Notre Dame
A. J. Jenkins WR Illinois
Doug Martin† RB Boise State
David Wilson RB Virginia Tech
Brian Quick WR Appalachian State
Coby Fleener TE Stanford
Courtney Upshaw LB Alabama
Derek Wolfe DT Cincinnati
Mitchell Schwartz OT California
Andre Branch DE Clemson ACC
Janoris Jenkins CB North Alabama
Amini Silatolu G Midwestern State
Cordy Glenn OT Georgia
Jonathan Martin OT Stanford
Stephen Hill WR Georgia Tech
Jeff Allen G Illinois
Alshon Jeffery WR South Carolina
Mychal Kendricks LB California
Bobby Wagner LB Utah State
Tavon Wilson S Illinois
Kendall Reyes DT Connecticut
Isaiah Pead RB Cincinnati
Jerel Worthy DT Michigan State
Zach Brown LB North Carolina
Devon Still DT Penn State
Ryan Broyles WR Oklahoma
Peter Konz C Wisconsin
Mike Adams OT Ohio State
Brock Osweiler QB Arizona State
Lavonte David LB Nebraska
Vinny Curry DE Marshall
Kelechi Osemele G Iowa State
LaMichael James RB Oregon
Casey Hayward CB Vanderbilt
Rueben Randle WR LSU

Out of all those first two round picks... how many of them can you look at and call true NFL studs.

The point to be made is... have some faith in the talent evaluators that have thus far made this team a yearly playoff contender. You can't expect every pick to stick from a draft and I think it's more reasonable to expect 1 to 2 in a bad draft class to 3-4 in a good draft class to stick.

That isn't the point. What is important is what your team has done. Sure there are lots of duds, but mainly because some teams keep choosing and producing them. Others, the ones that are consistently super bowl bound, have a much higher success rate. At least common sense would imply so.

So, your teams expectations shouldn't be based on what the total or average NFL teams success or failure, but on that of the successful teams. If you want to be a winner, you judge yourself compared to the very best. Remember the Bell Curve? Who wants to forever be in the middle fat part of the curve.

You missed the point.

"Known named" college players don't always pan out. Just because who was drafted this year doesn't mean they won't be contributors or become all-pro players.

The point is, give this draft class time and see what can be judged from it later.

Looks like the Cards drafted a lot of lesser known guys with less ego that will do their job. Similar to what the Pats have been doing for years. Lots of "Next Man Up."
