It's just a one game loss
swap it for our win over the Pats
4-1 is what we'd have expected
some even expected worse

4 - 1 is far better than I expected. Unfortunately, our start has now raised our expectations and our visibility. If the O line continues to play as it has recently we might be looking at a 5 - 11 season and that is not going to go over well.

The only silver lining from this is the team has 10 days to rest physically and mentally. We had 16 players on the injury report and probably more with mild nagging injuries. Good timing for a long week.

But it's not just a one game poor performance by the offensive line. That's two weeks in a row of abysmal work.

Miami 8 sacks: Ryan Williams 2.0 yards per carry: 7 points first 3 quarters
Rams 9 sacks: Ryan Williams 2.6 yards per carry: 3 points first 3 quarters

Now you could say that's what we expected but that kind of performance is going to make it really tough to get into the playoffs.

That's what I keep telling myself, but this was on national TV and a Divisional opponent no less...

I heard ya.

That was really dissapointing, and frustrating.

But, as the initial post states we are still 4-1, can't win them all.

So, kick the dirt, flip off the coaching staff, over analyze things to death on this board, take a pipe to a tree in the back yard and get ready for the Bills.

Got a lot of football still to play this season, and a lot of questions that are STILL unanswered about this team.

That was the situation in this game. Does the team bounce back and play better or was the OT loss, like the wobbly 10 pin strike in bowling. Yeah, it was a strike but something is wrong and needs to be fixed before you roll again.

Unfortunately, in St. Louis we were staring at a ringing 10 pin standing up straight and tall.

Gotta tweak something, in order to get back on track. The hints that something may be wrong were in Miami, now the loss in St. Louis confirms it.

We will see. Thus why I will be ready to go against the Bills, whom again, pose a challenge to the Cardinals, but we can beat them, just need to execute and plan better. Go Cards!

The big thing is will the players keep their heads up? Be interesting to know who they think is most responsible for our lousy play?

They need to double check Kolb's head. His head has to hurt after that beat down. he was sure p----off. You could see it in his demeanor on the side lines and the looks he gave to his defense and receivers on occasion.

He has every right to be pissed. I'd be in a crappy mood too if my line was putting my personal safety in jeopardy every snap.

I've seen these kinds of losses in team locker rooms before. There is a lot of finger pointing that goes on and tempers flare up. This beat down could either provide a spark for the team or continue to linger for the rest of the season. It's up to Whiz to right the ship and have his players looking forward and not back.
