While college basketball fans wait on Sunday night's selections to the NCAA men's and women's tournaments, a Palm Beach County basketball team already is competing in the NAIA men's national championship tournament.
The 19th-ranked Keiser Seahawks upset No. 9 William Woods 78-72 Saturday in West Palm Beach in the second round. Keiser (26-5) will play Southern Oregon (22-10) on Friday at 4 p.m. in Kansas City in the round of 16. The Raiders, seeded 11th, upset No. 3 The Masters (California) 76-71 on Saturday.
It is the first time Keiser is back at the national final site since the 2015-16 season,

The Seahawks, seeded seventh in the tournament, were led by Tyreon Payne, who scored 21 of his team-leading 25 points in the second half. Calvin Sirmans, a sophomore guard out of Lake Worth, had 24 points and six assists. Vincent Miszkiewicz battled through double teams all night to post a 10-point, 13-rebound double-double.
The Seahawks defense played a huge part in the win, holding the Owls (29-3) 13 points below their season scoring average.
