Russell was beaten out by 4th round pick CB Eric Murray (Minnesota) and 6th round pick D.J. White (Georgia Tech).

Russell comes with baggage...but with plenty of natural talent.

Knowing the Chiefs and Andy Reid they tried to trade him and got no takers.

ACL injury his JR year. Highly touted RB recruit coming out of HS, switched to CB and became a legit prospect until injury. I like him over BW because he is more skilled and experienced. You may say well he got cut but SK ain't going to admit to making a mistake this early but had BW been a sixth round pick he would probably be gone. Interesting KC let him go, I read they moved Murray to S and they traded Cooper to us, maybe Russell's hurt? I'd take a flier.

You should never put your best playmaker on a limited role. Let The honey badger do what he does.
