LEXINGTON, Ky. – An abundance of five-star recruits on a roster is a headache almost any college coach would welcome. But with the much-hyped 2014-15 platoon system apparently dead on arrival this season, are there enough minutes to go around for John Calipari’s loaded Kentucky roster in 2018-19? “Every guy here is comfortable in his own skin,” Calipari said after his team’s final Bahamas exhibition game. “Every guy here is a little uncomfortable about, ‘I’m hoping I’m going to play.’” The 2018-19 Kentucky roster boasts seven five-star recruits, seven McDonald’s All-Americans and six top-25 prospects in their high school class.
