LEXINGTON —The Kentucky women's basketball season ended in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against Kansas State.
All-American Georgia Amoore led the Wildcats in her final year of eligibility. She averaged 19.1 points, 6.9 assists and 2.4 3-pointers per game.
In the latest mock draft by USA TODAY, Amoore is projected to be the seventh overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
She'll leave UK tied for the game high in points (43) and second in assists.
Amoore's backcourt partner, Dazia Lawrence, also has exhausted her eligibility. Lawrence played four seasons at Charlotte before transferring to UK, averaging 12.7 points per game for the Cats.
If everyone decides to return to Lexington, the Wildcats could have 10 players returning next season. The transfer portal for women's basketball opens on Tuesday.
Kaelyn Carroll is the first Kentucky commit in the Class of 2025. According to espnW/HoopGurlz, Carroll is a five-star forward and the 15th-ranked player in the nation. Carroll was also named to the High School McDonald's All-American game.
Rising junior Clara Strack started every game for the Wildcats this season. She was the SEC Defensive Player of the Year, averaging 15.2 points and 2.5 blocks per game (ninth in the nation).
Teonni Key would be the second-best scorer returning next season behind Strack at 11.7 points, 52% from the field and 8.1 rebounds per game. Key recorded her first double-double this season, finishing with 11 total.
Amelia Hassett, a 6-foot-3 forward, started her career at Eastern Florida before transferring to Kentucky. This season, she averaged 8.8 points and eight rebounds for the Cats.
With Amoore and Lawrence transferring in, Saniah Tyler had a smaller role in the offense this season. As a sophomore, she was the second-leading scorer on the Cats at 10.2 points per game in 26.9 minutes per game. This season, she averaged 2.4 points in 12.3 minutes. She can return to being a dynamic playmaker with more playing time next season.
Freshman Clara Silva averaged 4.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per game off the bench. Silva shot 6 for 6 from the field twice this season. The first was against USC Upstate, and the second was against LSU.
