Definitely. He is a dual threat in a high powered offense with no real threat to take his job.

IS KYLER MURRAY WORTHY OF OVERALL QB1 HYPE?

There have been five different fantasy QB1s in the last five seasons: Cam Newton (2015), Aaron Rodgers (2016), Russell Wilson (2017), Patrick Mahomes (2018) and Lamar Jackson (2019). Overall, only Rodgers (x4), Daunte Culpepper (x3), Peyton Manning (x2) and Drew Brees (x2) have posted multiple seasons as the top fantasy QB since 2000.

There's a lot of turnover at the QB position in terms of top-fantasy dog. Plenty of the aforementioned names obviously went on to have numerous highly-prolific seasons, but they also carried heightened fantasy draft capital after already posting their best season yet. Both 2018 Patrick Mahomes (QB15 ADP) and 2019 Lamar Jackson (QB11) weren't even selected among fantasy's top-10 signal callers during their respective QB1 campaigns.

High-producing fantasy QBs can come out of nowhere. This year's crowd-favorite candidate is Cardinals QB Kyler Murray. The 2019 No. 1 overall pick is plenty worthy of being in this conversation.

They are also projecting Kyler as a top 4 QB. Anyone on the cards offense is rated highly this year. All 3 WR will prob be in the top 50.

Top 4 might be a stretch for Kyler this year but top ten seems IMO more reasonable.

I think they expecting him making big improvements so at that point top 4 is possible
At this point

1 Mahomes
2 Russell Wilson
3 Lamar Jackson
4 Brees Brady Rodgers not at their prime so they slide on the ranking

I feel that those ahead of Kyler could be:
also this is my top ten
1. Mahomes
2. Lamar Jackson
3. Russell Wilson
4. Dak Prescott
5. DeShaun Watson
6. Drew Brees
7. Kyler Murray
8. Tom Brady
9. Aaron Rodgers
10.Carson Wentz

Bottom line is that this is all debatable I just don't want to raise the expectations too much.

Yes regarding expectations he can be there but actually he is not in the top ten yet

I like Kyler, like him a lot but I would be surprised if he made a jump in his second year like Mahomes or Lamar. Those two guys are just not the norm. Kyler can have an amazing season and still not approach the plateau of those guys. I would put Kyler in the top five though for fantasy football with Lamar as numero uno and Mahomes number two. Lamar is one heck of a QB but his time to shine is on burrowed time due to his playing style of running like a running back and taking hits and I hope when his career is over people view him under those parameters. Meaning, if he can keep putting up those numbers and get to a Super Bowl, I frankly would say he's Hall of Fame worthy even if he has a shorter career with that kind of production which is ultra elite... and Drake can be seen seen as a top ten back

Id be a tad worried just cause of oline but drake hits holes with more speed than Johnson did and is a ok receiver

I probably wouldn't take him till 2nd late pick in my money lg

I just want the Cards to become a playoff team with Kyler.

Lol people are expecting top 4 FANTASY QB. That’s only based on his running and this supposed to be an up tempo offense. I haven’t seen anything saying his is a top 4 actual QB in the league.

Yes. I think he will get 10 TD without breaking a sweat. Other than Baltimore, no team has a QB that helps the run game more than Kyler. The improved defense should generate more stops and turnovers this year, giving the offense more possessions, and the improved WR room should create more RZ opportunities. We were actually top15 in creating RZ opportunities last year (maybe better), but struggled to score in short areas before Drake arrived.

I don't think Drake sniffs the top 10 in fantasy, and will be heavily overdrafted. Probably top-20 by sheer volume, but I'm not going to be drafting him as an RB1. I might snag him as an RB3 because sometimes my buddies try to force me into taking players they know I don't like, so I get them at a premium where I have to accept the value, haha.

As far as Kyler goes, while I don't think he'll yet be a top 10 QB in terms of ranking all QBs in real NFL wins/impact, he'll be a top 10 QB in fantasy barring injury. I would even think top 5.

this is an interesting prop

I tend to agree, but I could see that changing mid-season if one of the tertiary receivers steps up and the line stays healthy.

The sports books have a number (how many points towards the line the QB is worth), and I think Kyler will be top-15 at worst by season’s end.

15th last season to start the year were

stafford and trubisky (both worth 3.5 points on the line)

My sleeper at RB isn't even a sleeper already, I just today saw someone say he's a RB 2 today but a RB 1 by his second year, Clyde Edwards-Helaire. If you look at the Chiefs RB's they tend to do VERY well. The last couple of years it was a bit of RBBC due to injury but CEH seems like he'll walk right in there over 1000 yards with likely pretty good receiving yards too. The one concern on him is if they took him out on short yardage but he's pretty good at that too.

I can see Kyler being really good in FF this year too. He gets the rushing TD's and I think the passing TD's will probably jump up a bit this year, we have a better idea what to do at TE, and I think D Hop is going to give us such a huge threat in the passing game it'll open other things.

not sure on Drake, I think he'll get TD's yes, I could see him top 10 but the concern is Kyler will get some of the rushing TD

I could see it go either way. I think it really depends on how well he meshes with Hopkins.

That's not really a sleeper.

KC backs always produce, even untalented ones like Damien Willams.

Helaire is a no brainer top 10 producer.

Yes I do. He was easily top 10 with us last year, not sure why anything would change.
Drake was barely rosterable between the 1st 49er and Cleveland game. He was released in all but my dynasty league by week 12. Unless you had the magical foresight to start him against SF game 1 (who would?) or Cleveland (who would after 4 straight weeks of woeful production?), you probably only got any value out of him in Seattle. These anomalous games aren't how you win in FF, which is why I'll be avoiding him. Not going for a guy who is gonna get me sub-10 points most weeks, but explode for one 60 point game when I bench him.

That’s crazy that he was released. I’ve been playing in the same league for over 2 decades and starting RB’s are never released during the season. Our toilet bowl pays $150.
I do agree that he’ll probably be over drafted in a lot of leagues but he’s a starting RB who’s going to have a lot of opportunity to put up points in what should be a high powered offense. He’s a risk/reward if you take him in the first 2 rounds. Personally, I wouldn’t take him until the 3rd.
