Watched the Thursday night game again and Williams is pretty much a badass.

I agree. He has moves, quicks and toughness. If there is a hole he will hit it and do it with authority.

K.W. was PFW's #8 running back in their 2013 draft preview guide. They had high praise for him and considered him a 4th or 5th round prospect. He sat behind Robert Turbin before getting his chance his senior year at Utah State. Did a lot of kickoff returns as a freshman and sophomore.

Not sure where he's been the past two years, but he's a godsend in the wake of Duke's season-ending injury.

Exactly. This is what we have been missing before KW got in there- hitting the holes hard and fighting for extra yards. I am just waiting for him to hurt someone when he drives hard into the defenders!

What I will say about Williams is that he seems to hit the LOS hard. He is at a full run in a few steps and is pushing through the line. If there is a hole, he takes off, if not he gets a couple yards in momentum. I think this will work out until he has his first serious injury, then he may turn gun-shy. Hopefully, he ducks that injury and he can be really, really good.

I like the split use of Williams/Taylor. BA should have used Ellington/Taylor like that and Ellington may still be on the field IMO.

Williams is a real find, so far, we'll see where it goes. But the kid has shown some good running skills the last 2 games.

Thats what I don't understand. Why is he now using him more when he had the chance when Ellington was still on the field.

I still want to see Grice and Hughes get a few touches a game to. Really mix it up. :p

I don't get the use of Hughes. He's a big guy who has shown some really decent speed when he caught passes.

I think Ellington was a ticking bomb that the staff was waiting to go off. Also, it sounds like the only reason Williams has gotten a shot is his practice work. I would guess no one really showed out while Ellington was healthy.
