A playoff berth tantalizingly close, the Houston Astros sent their ace to the mound seeking his 20th victory. Dallas Keuchel became the AL's first 20-game winner and the Astros routed the Arizona Diamondbacks 21-5 Friday night. ''I don't want to play the National League style at the end of the season because I want the DH,'' he said, ''but this game is crazy.

Well, every team lays down a stinker on a occasion. Too bad this guy is afraid to take up a bat and play baseball.

It's been a decent year for the Diamondbacks. I can see a future forming. Solid young talent at every position, good bats, good defense.
Last year was historically bad. This year will be near .500. Next year....?
