WEST LAFAYETTE − Cam Heide became instrumental for Purdue basketball in the postseason.

Now the native of Wayzata, Minn., may be playing in a different uniform.

Heide, who started eight games this season as a redshirt sophomore, has entered the transfer portal. It was first reported by 247Sports' Dushawn London.

Playing in all 75 games over the past two seasons, Heide averaged 3.9 points and 2.7 rebounds, including 4.7 points and 3.6 rebounds in 36 games this season. He's a career 41.2% 3-point shooter.

Heide proved pivotal in the postseason as a rebounder and recorded his first career double-double in the NCAA Tournament first round win over High Point.
