Kim Mulkey outfit: LSU women's basketball coach wears Louisiana state flower vs. UCLA

LSU women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey is paying tribute to the state of Louisiana for the Tigers' Elite Eight matchup with 1-seed UCLA on Sunday in the women's NCAA Tournament.

Mulkey is sporting a purple jacket with magnolias on it against the Bruins, paying homage to the state flower of Louisiana that's also seen across LSU's campus. Mulkey is also from Louisiana.

Mulkey, known for her extravagant outfits, is repping LSU on Sunday in its biggest game of the season. The Tigers are looking to get back to the Final Four after missing out on the stage last season, falling to Iowa and Caitlin Clark in the Elite Eight. Mulkey and LSU won the national championship in their first season together in 2023.

LSU played UCLA exactly a year ago Sunday in the Sweet 16, defeating the Bruins 78-69 in the 2024 women's NCAA Tournament. Both teams are much different, though, as LSU no longer has Angel Reese and Hailey Van Lith, while UCLA improved to become the No. 1 overall seed of the bracket.

LSU and UCLA are certain to provide fireworks for a spot in the Final Four, and Mulkey looks to get back to women's college basketball's grandest stage in her sequin jacket.
