Ak tells Kevin O'Conner that he wants to leave Utah. He just wants to go on his way and just play basketball and not worry about other things. This happened a couple of weeks ago and he said he hasn't heard back from the team, but he is sure he wants to leave.


Fuel the Marion for Kirilenko talks again..

I'd still do this trade. Kirilenko has struggled in Utah not because he started sucking. He is struggling because Utah signed Boozer and Okur and moved him out to the perimeter more, away from his more natural PF position.

Phoenix would be the perfect fit for him since he would replace Marion at the 4.

Now the Suns have to decide if he is the perfect fit for Phoenix as well and if the pros outweigh the cons in this trade.

Give up some scoring, rebounding, durability, uncertain future
Gain defense, playmaking, length, long term contract, better team chemistry


Marion and Banks for Kirilenko and Harpring or Kirilenko, Giricek and Millsap or Kirilenko, Collins and Brewer etc etc lots of possibilities.

I'll be amazed if something happens, since D'Antoni seems hell-bent on sticking with Marion till the bitter end. But it could be interesting.
