Kirk Gibson Factoid

Maybe you guys knew this, but if not, I thought I'd post this..

I was looking up info on Kirk Gibson and discovered that in 1979 he was drafted in the NFL draft in the seventh round as a wide receiver.. The team that drafted him: The StL Cardinals, now the Arizona Cardinals.. Just thought that was pretty cool.. He never played in the NFL though., obviously. He chose baseball..

Yea... Wasn't aware it was the Cards that drafted him. Think he was a stud at Michigan State?

He was actually one of the best WR's in the country and would have been a much higher pick if not for baseball.
